Ralph Tresvant

Signed to MCA Records, Ralph often expressed his apprehension about becoming a solo artist trying to match his previous success. But legendary MCA music man Louell Silas and producer/songwriters Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were confident in Ralph's abilities. The Jam and Lewis song, “Sensitivity,” written specifically with Tresvant in mind, sold over a million copies, and went to #4 Pop, and #1 R&B on Billboard’s charts in the fall of 1990. His solo debut album also justified their belief. The album, RALPH TRESVANT, went platinum, holding the number one spot on the Billboard R&B charts for two weeks.
